A Bank You Can Trust: ProCredit Bank Receives Top Rating Once Again from Fitch Ratings

Once again, this year, the credit rating agency Fitch Ratings has awarded the highest rating to ProCredit Bank Serbia. This confirms that the bank’s operations are on par with the most profitable and stable companies in Serbia.  

Six months ago, the renowned global agency Fitch Ratings, assigned ProCredit Bank Serbia the highest rating it gives to companies operating in Serbia (BBB-). This rating was the result of several key aspects, notably the bank’s significant expertise in lending to micro, small, medium-sized, and agricultural enterprises.

Following an analysis of PCBS's performance in the second half of 2024, Fitch Ratings reaffirmed its rating, highlighting substantial improvement in business performance, including:

• Profitability: PCBS maintained a high level of profitability throughout the year, particularly over the first nine months of 2024, with a post-tax profit of EUR 18.5 million. Net interest income also reached a higher level due to business growth across all client segments.

• Non-Performing Loan Ratio Improvement: the bank improved its non-performing loan ratio, reducing their presence in this portfolio from 3.5% (2023-end) to 3.2%.
• Liquidity: the bank’s liquidity remains high, well above all regulatory limits.

“If we analyse these results, as well as the continuity of good practices over previous years, we come to the conclusion that PCBS’s current business model continues to maintain high productivity. One of our main goals in terms of defining our business strategy was to ensure its sustainability, and the results we’ve had indicate that we are most definitely on the right path. Furthermore, this increase in profitability undoubtedly demonstrates that it is possible to operate responsibly toward both business and our environment. This approach is achieved without compromise and without affecting profit. The reaffirmed confirmation of the highest possible rating by Fitch Ratings came to us as the crowning achievement at the end of the business year, once again verifying that the direction we have chosen for our development is the only right choice for us," said Igor Anić, Chairperson of the Executive Board of ProCredit Bank, on this occasion.

Once again, receiving such a high rating serves as final confirmation of our successful operations throughout 2024 and a standard that we will strive to maintain as we move forward.
